Introduction

Cusco is a magical city filled with history and beauty. From the stunning churches in the Plaza de Armas to the Incan ruins and the gorgeous landscape of the Sacred Valley, this is treasured spot that should not be missed.

Highlights of this tour include the Koricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun), the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca bath of Tambomachay, the labyrinth of Puca Pucara, the Kenko amphitheatre, Aguas Calientes, and a tour of the Lost City at Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

• Day 1: LIMA
  Meet on arrival at the airport and transfer to selected hotel.
  Overnight
• Day 2: LIMA
  Breakfast
  A 3-hour morning sightseeing tour of Colonial and Modern Lima passing by outstanding monuments such as the Government Palace, the City Hall and the Cathedral (closed on Sundays) at the Plaza Mayor. Visit the 17th century San Francisco Convent. Before returning to the hotel, short tour of the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores where there is a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean
  Afternoon at leisure
  Overnight
• Day 3: LIMA / CUSCO
  Breakfast
  Transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco.
  Upon arrival, meet and transfer to selected hotel.
  Morning at leisure to acclimatize.
  
  Afternoon tour of the city including the best of Cusco: the Koricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral with its magnificent chapels and baroque altars and paintings from the Cusquenian School. The tour also includes the surrounding ruins: the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca bath of Tambomachay, the labyrinth of Puca Pucara and the amphitheatre of Kenko.
  Overnight
• Day 4: CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
  Breakfast
  Early transfer to the train station for a Vistadome train ride across the Andes to Aguas Calientes (2400 m / 7500 ft) at the foot of the mountains. Then short transportation to the entrance of the ruins where the guided tour of the Lost City will start.
  Buffet lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary lodge.
  Afternoon return in Vistadome train and transfer to your hotel
  Overnight
• Day 5: CUSCO / LIMA / OUT
  Breakfast
  Transfer to the airport for flight back to Lima.

Prices 2011 per person in US Dollars:

* Triple at Monasterio hotel is based on one deluxe double room + one deluxe single room, since it does not exist triples deluxe rooms.

Prices 2012 per person in US Dollars:

• Triple room at Miraflores Park Plaza is only possible in 1 Junior Suite with city view + roll-away for a child of a maximum of 11 years old and 11 months.
• Triple room at Monasterio is only possible in 01 Twin deluxe room + extra bed (The hotel has only 3 Twin deluxe rooms in where we can add an extra bed and it's subject to confirmation).
• Triple room at Sanctuary Lodge is only possible in 01 Suite room + extra bed or the hotel have only 01 twin room with mountain view in which can be added an extra bed.

• Air transportation. For a round trip domestic tickets (for example LIM/CUS/LIM) the cost is $320. For a one way domestic ticket (for example JUL/LIM) the cost is $160.00. Rates subject to change without previous advise.
• Airport departure taxes: $6.50 in Lima, for domestic flights USD$5.50 approximately and $30.25 for international departure tax in Lima
