| am: | Ankunft auf Galapagos am Flughafen Baltra Der Flug von Quito (via Guayaquil) zu den Galapagos-Inseln dauert schätzungsweise 2½ Stunden. Bei der Ankunft am Flugahfen Baltra werden Sie von Ihren Führern begrüsst werden, welche Sie auf einer kurzen Busfahrt sicher zum Hafen begleiten. Motorisierte Dinghies, lokal bekannt als “Pangas”, werden Sie zum M/V Eclipse transportieren, wo der Kapitän und die Mannschaft Sie willkommen heissen werden. Nach einer kurzen Erfrischungspause wird es ein Briefing, Mittagessen und eine Sicherheitsübung geben. |
| pm: | Insel Santa Cruz - Strand Las Bachas Der Strand von Las Bachas ist im Norden von Santa Cruz. Sein weicher, weisser Sand, welcher durch zersetzte Koralle entstand, ist somit der bevorzugte Brutplatz für Meeresschildkröten. Hinter dem Strand ist eine kleine, brackige Lagune, wo Sie die Möglichkeit erhalten werden Flamingos und andere Küstenvögel, wie den Amerikanischen Stelzenläufer und den Regenbrachvogel, zu beobachten. |

| am: | Insel Santiago - Hafen Egas Der Hafen Egas, ein schwarzer Strand mit erodierten Felsformationen(Bucht James), liegt auf der Nordwestseite der Insel Santiago. Der Pfad durchkreuzt das trockene Innere, wo Sie noch immer die Überreste einer Salzmine ausmachen können, und geht dann weiter der Küste entlang. Gezeitentümpel sind das Zuhause verschiedenster wirbelloser Lebewesen, inklusive Seeigeln, Seepolypen und Seesternen. Der Pfad führt zu einer Robbengrotte, einer der wenigen Orte der Insel, wo Sie diese sehen können. Nach dem Spaziergang werden Sie Zeit zum Schwimmen oder Schnorcheln am Strand haben, wo Sie Seelöwen, Fische und vielleicht auch einige Schildkröten und Riffhaie observieren können. |
| pm: | Insel Bartolomé Bartolomé ist eine kleine Insel mit zwei verschiedene Seiten für Besucher. Auf der ersten Seite können Sie rund um den Pinnacle Felsen schwimmen und schnorcheln, sowie Pinguine beobachten. Nach einem schnellen Kleidungswechsle an Bord wird Sie eine kurze Dinghifahrt zu einem sehr trockenen Teil der Insel bringen. Dort werden Sie die Möglichkeit haben, auf den höchsten Punkt der Insel zu klettern. Beim Aufstieg werden Sie unterschiedliche vulkanische Formationen, wie Lavaspritzer und Maar, Lavaströme und Lavaröhren, sehen. Auf dem Gipfel werden Sie einen wundervollen Ausblick auf die Sullivan Bucht geniessen können. |

| am: | Insel Santa Cruz - Drachenhügel Der Name Cerro Dragon, Drachenhügel, stammt daher, dass dieser Ort einer der wenigen Seiten der Insel Santa Cruz ist, wo eine gesunde Population von Landleguanen existiert. Diese Kultur wurde 1975 gegründet. Nach dem Ankommen am Pier, wird Sie eine Wanderung zu einer Salzwasserlagune hinter dem Strand führen, welche umgeben von Stelzenläufern, Spiessenten und Flamingos ist. Ein kurzer Gang den Hügel hinauf bringt Sie zu einer Brutstätte von Landleguanen und einer atemberaubenden Sicht auf die Bucht. Nach der Wanderung werden Sie Möglichkeiten zum Schwimmen haben. |
| pm: | Insel Rábida Rábida ist eine kleine Insel, umzingelt von roten vulkanischen Felsen und einem wundervoll roten Sandstrand. Dort gibt es eine Kolonie von Seelöwen und Brutstätte von Pelikanen. Der Fussweg führt zu einer Salzwasserlagune, welche von verschiedensten Tierarten bevölkert ist. Rábida wird als eine der Inseln mit den besten Schnorcheloptionen empfohlen und sie bietet Ihnen ebenfalls Kayakabenteuer. |

| am: | Insel Isabela - Tajo Bucht Die Tajo Bucht hat einen äusserst interessanten historischen Hintergrund; sie wurde früher als Ankerplatz von Piraten, Freibeutern und Walfängern verwendet! Hier werden Sie auf hunderte Namen von Schiffen treffen, welche auf den Hügelketten bemalt wurden (eine heute verbotene Praxis). Abhängig von der Jahreszeit werden Sie wandern, schnorcheln oder Kayak fahren. Beim Wandern leitet der Pfad Sie durch das Gebiet des Darwin Vulkans mit starker Vegetation und vulkanischer Landschaft. An der Spitze des Weges können Sie die unglaubliche Aussicht über die ganze Bucht und den Darwin-See geniessen. Dieser morgendliche Aktivität folgt eine Pangafahrt, wo Sie die Möglichkeit zur Observation von Blaufusstölpeln, Meeresleguanen, Pinguinen, Braunpelikanen, Gabelschwanzmöwen und Noddiseeschwalben erhalten werden. Während dem Sie den Kanal zwischen den Inseln Fernandina und Isabel erkunden werden, werden Sie vielleicht sogar auf Delphine und Walfische treffen. |
| pm: | Insel Isabela - Bucht Elizabeth Die Bucht Elizabeth ist einer der abgelegensten Punkte im Meer, den wir auf unserer Galapagosreise besuchen werden. Eine Pangafahrt um zwei Inselchen, genannt die Marielas, bietet Ihnen eine weite Varietät der Vogelwelt. Flugunfähige Kormorane, Reiher und Blaufusstölpel sind nur einige wenige. Später werden wir in eine geschützte Felsnische eintreten - ein wundervolles Mangrovenökosystem und ein spannender Zufluchtsort der Meeresschildkröten und Rochen. |

| am: | Espinoza Aussichtspunkt & Insel Fernandina Fernundina ist das letzte Mal 1995 ausgebrochen. Der La Cumbre Vulkan dominiert die Landschaft; Lavafelder erstrecken sich vom Meer bis zu dessen Basiszone. Der Zacken Espinoza ist ein schmales Stück Land, wo Sie einige der einzigartigsten Galapagosspezien ausmachen können, inklusive dem flugunfähigen Kormoran, Galapagosschlangen, Meeresleguanen, Pinguine und dem Galapagosbussard. |
| pm: | Insel Isabela - Vicente Roca Aussichtspunkt Punta Vicente Roca is a wonderful snorkeling site, where you can usually see turtles as well as all kinds of fish. After the snorkeling you will go on a panga ride, which will give you the opportunity to study some of the Galapagos’ spectacular geological rock formations. Nazca boobies, pelicans, swallow-tailed gulls, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants und penguins are often seen in the area. |

| am: | Insel Santa Cruz - Forschungsstation Charles Darwin On your visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station you will gain insight into the huge efforts being made by scientists, guides, rangers und park managers to preserve this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the famous Galapagos tortoises that are the islunds’ namesake. After the visit you will have some free time to explore the town of Puerto Ayora. |
| pm: | Insel Santa Cruz - Hochland From Puerto Ayora you will travel by bus to the lush, green highlunds of Santa Cruz, where you will visit a tortoise reserve to search for giant tortoises in their natural surroundings. You will have the opportunity to walk through lava tunnels so take a flashlight if you have one. Optional activities such as biking, relaxing on the beach or just strolling in town are available |

| am: | Island Española - Bucht Gardner Gardner Bay offers the chance to enjoy a wonderful white sundy beach. It is home to one of the most important colonies of sea lions, und it is also a nesting site for sea turtles. | pm: | Island Española - Suarez Aussichtspunkt Punta Suarez is one of the most popular und attractive sites in the Galapagos. Due to its isolation from other islunds, it has a high proportion of endemic fauna. A few steps inlund from the lunding site, groups of Española marine iguanas bask in the sun. Further inlund, Nazca und blue-footed boobies nest almost on the trail, Galapagos doves peck around unaware of visitors und finches go about their business. The trail continues towards a blowhole, which is a fissure in the lava where water spurts high into the air like a geyser. The cracks in the cliffs are home to swallow-tailed gulls und red-billed tropicbirds. Further up the cliff in an area of low-lying trees you will find waved albatrosses nesting. The 10,000 to 12,000 pairs of albatrosses on Española represent the entire population of this species on the planet. They perform one of the most spectacular courtship rituals of the animal world. |

Its soft, white sund is derived from decomposed coral, making it a favorite nesting site for sea turtles. Behind the beach there is a small brackish lagoon, where it is possible to observe flamingos und other coastal birds, such as black-necked stilts und whimbrels. |

| am: | Santiago Islund - Puerto Egas Puerto Egas (James Bay) is located on the northwest side of Santiago Islund. The lunding is on a black beach with eroded rock formations in the background. The trail crosses the dry interior, where the remains of a salt mining enterprise can still be seen, und then continues along the coast. Tidal pools are home to a variety of invertebrate organisms, including sea urchins, octopus und starfish. The trail leads to the Fur Seals Grottos, one of the only places in the islunds where they can be seen. After the walk, you will have time to swim or snorkel off the beach, where you will see sea lions, fish und maybe some turtles und reef sharks. |
| pm: | Bartolomé Islund Bartolomé is a small islund that has two visitor sites. At the first site, you can snorkel around Pinnacle Rock, where penguins are usually seen. Back on board for a quick change of clothes und then it is a short dinghy ride to a dry lunding for a climb to the highest point on the islund. On the way up, you will encounter different volcanic formations, including spatter und tuff cones, lava flow und lava tubes. From the summit you will have a wonderful view of Sullivan Bay. For those not interested in the hike, there is the option of a panga ride. |

| am: | Santa Cruz Islund - Cerro Dragón The name Cerro Dragon (Dragon Hill) stems from the fact that it was one of the few sites on Santa Cruz Islund where a healthy population of lund iguanas were found in 1975. After lunding at a pier, a hike takes to you to a salt water lagoon behind the beach, frequented by common stilts, pintail ducks und occasionally flamingos. A short walk up the hill leads you to a lund iguana nesting site, with breathtaking views of the bay. You will have the chance to go swimming after the walk. |
| pm: | Rábida Islund Rábida is a small islund with red volcanic rocks surrounding a beautiful red sund beach, where there is a colony of sea lions und a pelican nesting site. The trail leads to a salt water lagoon where shore birds can be seen. Rábida is considered to be one of the best snorkeling sites in the Galapagos Islunds, und you will also have the opportunity to go kayaking or on a panga ride. |

| am: | Isabela Islund - Tagus Cove Tagus Cove was historically used as an anchoring place for pirates, buccaneers und whalers. Here you will see the names of hundreds of ships painted on the high ridges (a practice now forbidden). On the hike, the trail goes through an area of vegetation und the volcanic lundscape of Darwin volcano. At the top of the trail, you will enjoy an incredible view of the whole cove und Darwin Lake. The early morning activity is followed by kayaking or a panga ride, where you will have the opportunity to see a large number of blue-footed boobies perched on the ledges of the cliffs, as well as marine iguanas, penguins, brown pelicans, brown noddy terns und swallow-tailed gulls. While exploring the channel between Fernundina und Isabela Islunds, we sometimes encounter dolphins und whales. |
| pm: | Isabela Islund - Elizabeth Bay Elizabeth Bay is one of the furthest points of the Galapagos that we will visit on our cruise. We will enter a sheltered cove – a wonderful mangrove ecosystem that is a refuge for sea turtles und rays. |

| am: | Punta Espinoza & Fernundina Islund Fernundina last erupted in 1995. La Cumbre Volcano dominates the lundscape, with lava fields stretching towards the ocean from its base. Punta Espinoza is a narrow piece of lund where some of the most unique Galapagos species can be seen, including the flightless cormorant, Galapagos snakes, marine iguanas, penguins und the Galapagos hawk. |
| pm: | Isabela Islund - Punta Vicente Roca Punta Vicente Roca is a wonderful snorkeling site, where you can usually see turtles as well as all kinds of fish. For those who do not snorkel, a panga ride will give you the opportunity to study some of the Galapagos’ spectacular geological rock formations. Nazca boobies, pelicans, swallow-tailed gulls, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants und penguins are often seen in the area. |
